Rate parity
Rate parity is offering the same room, for the same dates and conditions, at the same price on every channel: the hotel’s own website, each online travel agency and the phone.
A contract term or a choice
Some OTA contracts have carried parity clauses. A wide clause covers every channel; a narrow one covers only the hotel’s own website. Whether such a clause applies to you depends on the contract you signed and on the law where the hotel operates, so check both.
How to check it
Compare like with like: the same room type, the same rate plan with the same cancellation and breakfast terms, the same dates, and the price the guest will pay including taxes. A disparity can be a mapping mistake in the channel manager rather than a decision anyone made.
Parity concerns the published price. What a hotel adds for a guest who books direct, such as a better cancellation term or breakfast, is a separate question, and a common place for a direct booking strategy to start.
Where Wizorks fits
With the PMS link, Sarah quotes the rooms and rates in your PMS. Wizorks writes no rate back to it, so your pricing stays where you set it.
