Booking attribution
Booking attribution is the record of where a booking came from and what moved the guest to confirm it, so that its value can be credited to a channel, a person or a follow-up.
How a hotel does it
There is no single right model. Three are common: credit the channel the booking was made on, the first conversation that brought the guest in, or the last one before they confirmed. Each answers a different question, and they disagree. A useful report names its model beside every figure, keeps uncertain links apart from observed ones, and never counts a booking twice because two channels touched it.
Attribution says where value came from. It does not prove that the booking would not have happened anyway, so say so when the figure goes to an owner.
Where Wizorks shows it
Insights › Revenue & ROI compares three models side by side, Booking origin, First touch and Last touch, and records what converted each booking: AI assisted, staff assisted, a follow-up, a recovery, or a booking continued in the PMS. You choose which evidence counts (observed only, observed plus inferred, or observed recovery), and the method is printed in every export.
